Game Characters

During this project we had to a create paper character, but we also had to enlarge and reduce its size, but more specifically:

  1. We had to make an original game character using a coordinate grid.

  2. Create a table with the coordinates.

  3. Make a reduced version of the original character.

  4. Make an enlarged version of the original character.

  5. Add the newly found coordinates to the table.

When I was making my characters and tables I was really dis-organized so I had to keep restarting as a result of this. Now I know that if I keep myself organized in the first place then I won’t have to restart and get confused.

A math concept that I learned that will help me in the future would be that when you multiply a number by any number greater than 1 it will grow in original size, but if you multiply it by any number less than 1 it will reduce in size.

As you can see in the slides there were the exact rules for the project, I grew during this part of the project in using inquiry (asking questions when something is confusing). I say this because when I first looked at the paper I was so confused, but I asked clarifying questions and everything was okay.

You can also see my finished game characters, I grew in being more creative (thinking outside the box, not doing the same thing as someone next to you) during this part of the project, because we had no rules about how to make this look, so I got to do whatever I wanted to do.
